Cathedral Caverns

Our Sunday School Class took a trip to Cathedral Caverns one Sunday afternoon after church. We decided since it was Emma-Glenn's nap time, we would let my aunt keep her while we spent some quality time with our boy. He looks so big in this picture. Wallace and Mattie making silly faces waiting on our tour to start.

Sweet friends!

Wallace and Liza ready to explore.

We got to see stalactites (calcium carbonate hanging from the roof of the cave formed by precipitation continually dripping.)
and stalagmites (calcium carbonate projecting upward from the floor of a cave from continually dripping precipitation). Our tour guide, "Little Man" gave us lots of good info!

After a two hour tour, ending with all of the lights being off in the cave, we headed to eat dinner at the Pages. But not before having to have (as Wallace calls it) a hat with a light on it.

After dinner and playing with friends, we headed home to a tired little girl and had our dirty little boy with us. Sister had fun with Aunt Lisa and we had fun with Wallace. Next time she will get to go too! Believe it or not, they did miss each other!
