SILLY DAY

Every time I want to take their picture before we go somewhere, Wallace insists that we take it in front of the bushes. This day was no exception...silly day at school. He picked out his own outfit.

Striped shirt with blue gingham pants, a flip flop and a tennis shoe. Pretty silly to me!

Hiking at Bankhead

Sunday after church, the kids from our church had a "daddy day" and went hiking in Bankhead National Forest. Wallace was ready with his backpack, flashlight, water, and juice! I think he was most excited about getting to ride in the church van.
They hiked to the Indian Cave.
Whitt said that Wallace was looking for bears and kept telling him to be quiet.
He was pooped when he got back! When I asked him about the trip he said "we didn't even see any Indians or bears". I guess he was a little disappointed but he still had fun!

Womens Chamber of Commerce Fashion Show

Stephanie asked the kids to model in the Women's Chamber of Commerce fashion show. This is alwasy nerve racking for me but the kids loved it last time so I couldn't say no. Ready to model!
Waiting backstage with Emma Hensley.

Meme was in the fashion show too. So was Gigi but we don't have a picture with her.

Emma-Glenn and Afton headed to the stage. Afton's "horse" took off running to the end of the stage (thankfully did not fall) and Emma-Glenn followed right behind him!

A littlf confused with all of the bright lights and people.

This little monkey might just be a model. He stood and waved and was so handsome! He took his job very seriously!

Next, wardrobe change to Alabama and Auburn gear! There is that sweet wave again.

And one more wardrobe change for Wallace into Christmas pjs. It was SO hectic but both kids behaved so well and were precious! I was so proud of both of them! Wallace was wanting a Spider man web shooter so I told him if he behaved he wouldn't have to wait until Christmas to get it.

As soon as we got home, he got his prize.
Daddy showing him how to use it.

Trying to catch me in his web.

The blue silly string (web) that was all over my porch. We were all so proud of his behavior and it makes me smile to see him proud of himself too!

Wallace has made such a turn around in his behavior lately and I couldn't be more proud of him. He is growing up too fast and reminds me of it every day.

Lion King

On Sunday, we decided we needed some family time so we skipped church and went to the 11:00 showing of the Lion King 3D. Since it was only in the theater for two weeks, we had limited time to go see it and this was the only day that worked for us.
The movie has been in the Disney vault ever since Wallace was born and Whitt has been so excited about Wallace seeing the movie. This was also Emma-Glenn's first time to go to a movie in the theater!
Ready for the movie with their 3D glasses on.
After loading up with popcorn, candy, and drinks we were ready! When we walked into the theater it was dark and the previews were playing. I had an armful of popcorn and Emma-Glenn just stopped and wasn't going anywhere because it was so dark and she couldn't see. The look on her face was priceless! After Whitt and Wallace sat down, he had to come back and coax her to her seat. I wasn't sure if she would sit through the whole movie but she did GREAT! They both loved the movie and I was so proud of both of them.
After the movie, we headed to ride the carousel.
What a great way to spend a Sunday morning! Now we can't wait for it to come out on DVD!!!

Raider Tailgate Party

Every year, Decatur High School has a tailgate party. It is so much fun for the kids to get to see the band and cheerleaders and play. Wallace was the only one that got to go this year because Emma-Glenn was sick.
Poor sister looks pitiful but insisted on having her picture made.
Wallace and daddy off to the tailgate party. Sadly, he left the camera so these are the only pictures I have but they had so much fun. It was some good male bonding time!
This is a random picture I found of sassy sister!

First Day of School

I cannot believe that I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old! We were up bright and early so we could get back into the routine of getting to school. Of course we had to take a few pictures!
Wallace walked sister in to school.
She is in Mrs. Lee Anne and Mrs. Mary's class. We were so excited because that is who Wallace had too!
She went in and went right to the cars!
Her friend Hudson headed over to play too.
As I was leaving to take Wallace to his room, she was getting help from Mrs. Lee Anne to put the fairy wings on.
After school, she was so excited to see me!
Wallace's room is down the hall, so I walked him in and he found a hook for his back pack. His teachers are Mrs. Jan and Mrs. Marcie.
Then he found a puzzle to work.
Mrs. Marcie bringing Wallace to the car.
What a happy boy on his first day of school!

Goodbye Beach

One last breakfast
book reading,
and fun on the beach. My parents headed home on Sunday morning and my sister and her family left around lunch. We decided to stay until Monday so we had half of a day and a night to play.
It was so quiet with everyone gone. After nap, we headed to the pool. Hollywood prissed around the pool and stared at everyone!
She also did a little swimming.
Since we had not been out to eat, we decided to go to Tin Top and have a nice dinner before we left the next morning.
This boy ate all of his shrimp!
Sister enjoyed her ice cream.
Then we headed to the beach so I could play with my camera.

The next morning we were up early so I decided to let them slide a few more times while Whitt loaded the car. We stopped in Clanton on the way home and had some ice cream at Peach Park and then we finally made it home. Now back to reality and getting our mind set to start school!
