Alpah Chi Omega 9 Yr Reunion

After Vacation Bible School on Friday, I headed to Tuscaloosa for a weekend with some of my pledge sisters. Driving into Tuscaloosa, this was the first sign I saw.
This used to be Hobby Lobby. It was strange driving down McFarland. It was fine until you got to a certain point, then it was devastation.
I quickly made my way here...my home for two years of college. Oh the memories!
It doesn't get any better than waking up across the street from the stadium, especially on a game day!
This was the ride for the 13 of us for the night.
Our first stop was Nicks Filet House aka Nicks in the Sticks for a Nicodemus. The wait was so long and it was already almost 8 so we had a drink and headed to Pepitos instead. Just as yummy as it was 9 years ago!
This is my back!
Becky and myself.
Becky, me and Brittney. After dinner we headed to Innesfree and Gallettes. Let's just say, things aren't quite the same. We still feel so young but when you get around all those college kids, you quickly feel OLD! They were looking at us like we were from another planet.
After a late night of catching up, we headed to one of my favorite places, Buffalo Phils. We were there at 10:45 and they made us wait until 11. Nine years ago we wouldn't even have been thinking about getting up that early! Best thing was $3 pitchers. No kids so why not at 11am?!? I felt like such a rebel.
My yummy wings....and the fries with ranch are THE BEST!!!
After lunch, Margaret took us to see her school, Alberta Elementary.
It was so strange how among all the chaos some things were left just like they had been.

Margaret found a yearbook from her first year of teaching.
Katie found a bowl of what used to be popcorn with kernels still in it.
This whole brick wall just fell over!
This used to be part of the library. Thankfully no children were in school that day because that was where Margaret's class would have been during the storm!
We ended our tour of devastation by checking on an old favorite. Let's just say, I cannot believe I ever went there. The neighborhood was so scary and it looked very different in the daylight! Not quite how I remembered it at all! But there sure were some good memories listening to Wayne Mills there!
When we got back, we headed to The Corner store for a snack and better than Sonic ice.
After relaxing for the afternoon, we got dressed and went here for dinner.
It was so yummy and we had a great time catching up with old friends that joined us just for the night.
Me and Lauren...old roomies.
The next morning, I took 15th Street on the way out and WOW, these pictures don't do the damage justice!
My FAVORITE place while I was in college had me wishing it was there so on the way home I stopped
here in Birmingham! As you can tell, all we did all weekend was eat!
I had such a good time catching up with old friends and cannot wait until we do it again!
