Tate Farms

Every year since Wallace was old enough to walk, I have taken him to Tate Farms to pick a pumpkin and play. The past two years we have gone with friends but this year daddy decided he didn't want to miss out on all of the fun.
***This is the only picture of Wallace in his orange pants...as soon as we got there he climbed up to the top of a tire pyramid and announced very loudly "uh oh I tee teed". He had never had an accident in public. Thankfully I had put another pair of pants in the car!!!

Wallace has been reading books about pumpkins since September and couldn't wait to pick out the perfect pumpkin.

and Wallace LOVED the new slide. He decided that it was a good idea to go down on his tummy (like the big boys) and came up with red dirt all over him.

Daddy decided it looked like fun and took Emma-Glenn for a ride. I love their faces.

Emma-Glenn would have stayed on the tire horse all day.

Next we went to ride the corn train.

My kids thought it was a roller coaster. He did drive rather erratically and fast.

Next we took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. Wallace couldn't wait to go pick his pumpkin. He could have stayed there all day and picked every pumpkin.

He decided on a green pumpkin and sat on it until we picked it.

He couldn't wait to take it home and make a cat out of it.

Then we had to go unload our pumpkins to take home.

Wallace was determined that he could push the wheelbarrow full of pumpkins to pay for them. Along the way, we picked up a lumpy, bumpy pumpkin to add to our other two pumpkins. He wanted to make that one into a witch.

After we paid for all of our pumpkins, we headed to Chick-fil-a and Costco before making our way home for a nap and football.Sister showing off all of her teeth.

DHS Homecoming Parade

GOOOOOO RAIDERS! On October 15, we went to the Decatur High School homecoming parade. Wallace was so excited!

He was even more excited when he saw his daddy walk up!

Miss Steppie knows how to win over their hearts. She had face painting, snacks, juice boxes, candy and more outside of Eloise and Henry. Emma-Glenn's new obsession is a "ju box" and can down one in a matter of seconds and Wallace was excited about the caramel popcorn and candy. They enjoyed snacks while waiting on the parade.

One of the first people we saw in the parade were our friends Emma-Hensley and Anna Kate riding on the firetruck with the cheerleaders on the top. There were lots of floats and fun things to see...

we took this picture of the cannon for Sir (he used to shoot the cannon way back when). Wallace got a little excited about the candy being thrown and took off to the middle of the street. I couldn't get there fast enough to jerk him back to the sidewalk. When we got in the car, he said "I'm sorry mommy for going to the brick part, I just wanted that candy". I think he got the point. He also told me I was the best mom ever because I caught him a football. Gotta love him!

Weekend Away

Whitt and I had a much needed long weekend away to Port St. Joe Florida for his cousin Randon's wedding. We stayed here at the Windmark...it was gorgeous!

The sunset was also beautiful!!!

There were big monarch butterflies everywhere!

The next morning we went to the pool and beach. Whitt and Benji wend out to the sandbar and there were thousands of sand dollars. You could feel them under your feet and just scoop them out of the sand. It was so neat!

These are just a few of what we found. The kids had a whole garbage bag full by the end of the weekend.

We also saw this toad coming back into the room one night. This was the first time I had ever been to the beach and seen a bear crossing! Evidently there are black bears that come around.

The kiddos had such a good time with Gigi and Sir that they didn't even miss us! We enjoyed had a fabulous time with Whitt's family and can't wait to go back and visit Port St. Joe again sometime soon!

MIA

The month of September, we have been MIA. I have not used my camera much and we haven't been too busy. It has been sort of nice but October is always a very busy month! Sassy has found a new way to wear a visor.

Wallace has been reading to his sister.

And she listens most of the time but it drives him crazy when she wants to do her own thing.

We have been watching lots of football...poor Wallace, he started out saying Roll Tide

and then his daddy brainwashed him to saying War Eagle and now he says he is an Auburn fan.

This cute girl is still up in the air....although she likes to say War Eagle too.

Sister is walking all over the place and getting pretty good at it too! She is a climber and is into everything and on top of everything!
