My Little Artist

The Sunday before Easter, we went to Papa and Pitty-Pat's house to paint eggs.
So excited to be painting!
TA-DA
This was the outcome...he did add some colored dots and Pitty-Pat put the finishing touches on it for him! It turned out fabulous!
Emma-Glenn even got a turn.
Trying to get her fingers to spread out was difficult.
Her egg.
Sharing some laughs
and some serious looks with Papa.
So after Wallace painted the egg, he just wanted to paint and these are just a few of his masterpieces. He painted his foot and did this one and another one.
And he painted his hands and created this masterpiece. I am glad that he has some artistic ability because his mother is sure lacking in that area :) We look forward to many more days of painting with Pitty-Pat!

Egg Hunt at Gigi and Sir's House

These two little rascals couldn't wait to go hunt eggs!
GO
Found one
T-R-O-U-B-L-E never looked so cute and sweet!

These two cousins have such a good time when they are together!

After hunting eggs, we came in for a delicious lunch and treasure hunt inside.
The boy's found their treasure under the bed and in the bathtub.
Excited to get a water gun!
Play clothes time....let the fun begin!

Each year when we are all together at Easter, we have a "beer egg hunt" for the adults. This is the first year in a while that everyone has had a beer because someone has been pregnant. Ok, so this year we only had one but it is still fun. We hunt for money, forget the candy!

Counting our loot!
The kids think we are crazy but it sure is fun! They don't always get to have all the fun!

Early Easter

My sister and her kids came home the week before Easter to celebrate. Of course it rained while they were here so we decided to dye eggs. The boys are putting on their listening ears!
Working very hard using the rollers that Gigi bought for them to paint their eggs.
Aunt Mamma helping Wallace use the egg spinner.
Spinning the eggs.

Later that night after a terrible storm, we headed to Burningtree Country Club to watch my dad accept the Decatur-Morgan County Citizen of the Year award. There was a gorgeous double rainbow on the way.
He is very deserving of this award (even if he is my dad) and we are all very proud!!!

Emma-Glenn is 8 months old

She loves her bunny her brother gave her for Christmas, has one bottom tooth
LOVES to suck on her fingers,
sits with one leg bent behind her,
looks just like her daddy,
pulls up on everything,
has the most beautiful blue eyes, and is the sweetest girl I know!

We're Off to See the Wizard......

Friday night Wallace and I had a date to Mi Hacienda and to see the Wizard of Oz at the Princess Theater. We debated on spending $45 a ticket to see it at the VBCC but decided that it would be better to see the performance put on by the Leon Sheffield students at $5 a ticket. After purchasing them I found out that the play was 2 1/2 hours long and was very nervous. Here are a few pictures before we left.....in his Wizard of Oz outfit :)

Wallace started out in a chair by himself but then decided to plant himself in my lap for the remaining 2 1/2 hours. He ate popcorn and drank lemonade the whole play. I was SOOOOO proud of my little man. I was ready to make my escape at any moment but to my surprise he sat through the whole performance. He has never been so still in his life! Every time they would change scenes he would say "it coming back on". He was singing along and telling me about what was going to happen. When it was over he said "I want to watch it again". At this point, it was 9:30 and WAY past our bedtime. He was so in to watching the play and I was very impressed at all of the students that were in the play....it was FABULOUS! I was proud to have Wallace as my date...what a fun night!!!
