Happy Easter

So, Easter morning, we woke the kids up around 6:30 am because we were going to early church at 8:45. This was Emma-Glenn's reaction (and she stayed like this pretty much the rest of the day).
Goodies from the Easter Bunny! Wallace asked for lots of cheesy popcorn (they had some at school around Christmas and Wallace told me they were out so he wanted some for home and one to take to school. The first day back to school he actually took a bag to share), a Spiderman scooter and 3 tubes of chapstick.
Emma-Glenn trying out her scooter.
Wallace LOVES notebooks. He will carry one around and scribble in it all day. I think it was one of his favorite things in his basket.
After checking out what the bunny left, we opened the door and there were more eggs to hunt in the yard!

Then back inside for breakfast consisting of cheesy popcorn.
Emma-Glenn put chapstick on all morning until I took it away when I put her dress on.
Daddy's lips even got moisturized with cotton candy flavored chapstick before going to church.
We finally made it to church (on time), actually early so we could take a few pictures. Still not real happy.
Posing.
There's a smile.
Pop and Meme.
After church we went back to my parents for Easter lunch. Emma-Glenn is exhausted! One of my favorite pictures from Easter!
Another favorite.

Sweet boys!
Gigi and Emma-Glenn.
Sir and Wallace.
After lunch Gigi hid each kid a prize and gave them a clue to find it. Here, everyone is listening to Gigi's directions.
Emma-Glenn found her prize in the rocking chair.
Wallace found his prize outside by the lion.
Spiderman and Rhinoman.
Trying out the scooters.
Look how fast...
UH OH....yes, that is Emma-Glenn laid out on the concrete. Sorry mom, it was an accident! I guess sister needs a helmet :) Good thing she is tough! After this, we went home and all took a nap.

Among all of the fun this Easter season, Wallace was the best reminder of what Easter is all about. His fabulous teacher Ms. Donna told the Easter story and my boy "got it". There is nothing like the innocence of a child!
